Soaring
This original Scratchboard is a return to this medium for me. The photo was taken while my wife and I were walking along Jensen Beach in Florida quite a few years ago, feeding the seagulls. It was quite windy, and they seemed to be hovering overhead as if on a kite string, going nowhere. Although the photo was taken during the day, I thought it would make for an interesting scratchboard, almost like a night flight, which was an alternate title I considered.
